Isabel Cole’s novel Die grüne Grenze (The Green Frontier) shortlisted für Leipziger Buchmesse Award!

We are proud to announce that Isabel Fargo Cole’s Die grüne Grenze is one of five novels shortlisted for the Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse!

The jury praised Cole’s talent: »Every inch of the forest’s soil in the highly restricted East German border zone of the Harz Mountains is saturated with German history, culture, mythology. Isabel Fargo Cole’s epic German novel is driven by idiosyncratic, unpredictable characters and completely free of nostalgia or condenscension.«

The award winner will be presented during the Leipzig Book Fair on Thursday, March 15th; the award includes prize money of 15,000 euros.
